2.12 Sidon's Revenge
In this Season Finale, the Alphans encounter two dead planets. Unfortunately for them those two worlds are the ones the Earth probe ship Voyager One annihilated with its Queller Drive propulsion system. Now, the High Council of the Federated Worlds of Sidon has a second chance to exact its revenge on those it holds responsible for their genocide by sending a fleet of ships to destroy Moonbase Alpha and all those within it.
Editor’s Note:
This episode was originally known as War Games but in my quest to unite episodes and seasons together, War Games was a perfect episode to use to create a concept episode to explain the gigantic hole between the original Series One and Two. Thus, in 2000, I made an episode called God's Will which was specially made for the MainMission: 2000 Convention in New York. While it had its limitations, it was still effective in its approach and it received many positive reviews and offered the best possible explanation visually for why the changes happened between the two Series. In this revised concept, I found a way to transform the alien's identity into the Sidons. They have now become the survivors of the High Council of Sidon on one of the twoi worlds destroyed by Voyager One. While making this episode I have faced different challenges that brought me unexpectedly into another Space 1999 important theme, the Cosmic Intelligence. The new chronological order and links that I have tried to unite through the series brought me here and now unexplained events that the Alphan encountered during their voyage are now connecting together to help us understand how and why they have survived. Finally, if you recognize a scene from another original episode, it's because it has been removed from that episode to be exclusively used in this one.
