2.11 Missing Link

Returning after investigating apparently lifeless worlds, Koenig’s Eagle loses power and crashes on the moon surface.  John’s conscious self ends up transported to one of the planets, Zenno, where he finds himself a “permanent guest” of the scientist Raan who believes him to be their missing link, even as his mirror image is dying on Moonbase Alpha.

Editor’s Note:
I realized watching this less than favorite episode of mine that I could intensify key moments in the episode by re-editing it all the way through. It’s still a slow- paced story, but the viewer is questioning more what he/she sees than before, wondering until the end if Koenig will come back or not. The reason for moving this episode so late in the chronology is that all the character relationships feel so highly developed. Koenig's potential loss at this point would be far more significant given how integral he has been to their survival.  Some special effects have been corrected including removing eagle cardboard cut-outs, adding a door in the Command Module when it's separated from the Eagle body, the Koenig name over his monitoring screen and glow and blur have been added to make the Zenno sets more eerie.
