1.7 Collision Course

The Alphans plan to use explosives to try and prevent a collision with another planet, but an alien woman, Arra, convinces Koenig  that destiny would be better served if the moon and her planet were indeed allowed to ''touch''.

Editor’s Note:
While this is a very important episode in  the evolution of the series it has its inconsistencies, the most obvious one being how could the Alphans not see the enormous planet in their path in the first place?  So, I have transformed the context of the episode by changing a few visual elements.  Now, the planet is hidden in a plasma gas nebula surrounded by an asteroid belt.  After destroying one of the asteroids about to crash into the moon and during a rescue mission to save Alan, Koenig sees the silhouette of a huge planet emerging from the nebula.  Now the moon is on a direct collision course with this planet. At the end, when the planet does finally collide with the moon, it dissolves into the plasma gas nebula, letting the moon continue its path.  When Koenig looks back at the nebula, one can speculate that the planet was already destroyed and only its image and the souls of its inhabitants were captive of the plasma gas. In fact, the asteroid belt could also be the remains of the planet… but we will never really know, will we?
