1.3 Earthbound

An alien spaceship en route to Earth unexpectedly encounters the moon and crash-lands near their base, its crew still frozen in suspended animation for the long journey.  Commissioner Simmonds, who was visiting Moonbase Alpha prior to the disaster which propelled the moon into unknown reaches of space, sees an unexpected chance to return home no matter what the cost.  

Editor’s Note:
This episode was originally shown later in the series but the character of Commissioner Simmons was an important one,  his presence at the Commander’s side being a necessary evil for John Koenig.  Thus, as the third episode, we now join the Alphans mere weeks after the disaster, adapting, coming to terms with their new life in space.  As you will notice dates which are mentioned in the episode have been adapted for the new updated version.  Also, the eagle pod has been modified to better fit with the studio’s set up.
